Mo Bennett
Age 92 of Coal Metropolis, IL and formerly of Gary, IN and Joliet, Illinois, handed absent July 4, 2021. Born November 8, 1928 in Georgetown, IL, Myrland Owen was a son of Edgar and Leona (Lanter) Bennett. He was lifted in Georgetown and attended Georgetown Twp. Substantial School. Mo received employment in 1949 with the EJ&E Railroad in Gary, IN, before heading on to valiantly serve in the US Army. It was in the course of his time in the support he earned a Korean Services Medal, two Bronze Stars, the Countrywide Protection Company Medal, United Nations Company Medal and an Abroad Bar in advance of remaining honorably discharged in December of 1953. On his return household, Mo held employment for a number of short many years with Normal Motors prior to back to operate for the EJ&E Railroad, the place he labored as a Locomotive Engineer and retired subsequent more than 40 decades of support. Survivors consist of 5 small children: Mark (Susan) Bennett of Shoals, IN, David Bennett of LaPorte, IN, Julia (Shawn) Waters of Aurora, CO, Jane (the late John) Farley of Coal Town and Suzanne (Man) Richardson of Indianapolis, IN a few step-little ones: Lorraine (Becky) Curran, Christine (Daniel) Reigh and Ginger (John) Brickey numerous grandchildren including, Patricia, Matthew, Shawna, Dathan, Monique, Travis, Shastine, Joshua, Susan, Crystal, Ashley and Noah, and numerous wonderful-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mo was preceded in dying by his dad and mom spouse Virginia, whom he married October 12, 1991 grandsons: Marcus and Wesley, and siblings: Elizabeth (Leonard) Gas, Josephine (Arnie) Maki, LaVeda (Noel) Fuel, Silas (Betty) Bennett, John Bennett and Carlos (Norma) Bennett.
Inexperienced flameless cremation rites have been accorded.
The family members will acquire mates for a memorial visitation at Reeves Funeral Residence, 75 N. Broadway in Coal Town on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. right up until the time of Masonic Assistance at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will stick to in Abraham Lincoln Nationwide Cemetery in Elwood on Thursday, July 15 ,2021.
