CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (WKBW) — Buyers who purchased furnishings at the Household Decor Stores in Cheektowaga are frustrated just after the retail outlet suddenly closes.
Buyers are locked out of the retailer in Walden Commerce Park Plaza on Walden Avenue.
The retailer is shut down and no workforce are within.
“In June, I kept coming each individual 7 days and they would be closed — they would be closed,” replied Joan Gibbon, Lackawanna.
Gibbon purchased a sectional couch 6 weeks back at Residence Decor. She tells 7 Eyewitness News she was advised it would get there in late June or early July.
But just about every time she goes to the retailer to select it up, doorways are locked.
“I’ve gone on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturday and nobody’s been in this article,” Gibbon discussed.
Gibbon suggests the final time she tried out, the shop several hours indicator was pulled down from the window.
“And it glance suspicious — that why — why would they consider that indicator out and the lights on, the doors are locked — no one’s there,” described Gibbon.
A few customers, who did not want to discuss on camera, informed us they’ve also been hoping for months to decide on up merchandise they bought at the retail outlet.
One couple suggests they put in much more than $3,000 and only got section of their buy.
They’ve been texting with the retailer considering that March, to no avail.
When calling the keep, it rings and rings, then goes to a fast paced signal.
We contacted the superior organization bureau in Atlanta because property decor is headquartered in Ga, alerting them to the dilemma for area clients.
A BBB spokesperson claims the organization claims it is getting a difficult time acquiring vans to produce merchandise due to a shortage of motorists and is also having difficulties in hiring.
Even though we ended up in the plaza a UPS truck tried to make yet a further shipping.
Due to the fact getting in touch with the BBB, a message was posted about the Buffalo region spot, notifying the public that it is “shut”.
The BBB contacted Household Decor Friday indicating they are continue to in operation, but quickly shut the Walden Avenue spot owing to a scarcity in delivery vehicles and personnel.
The BBB states clients who are ready for delivery of their product or service really should get hold of Residence Decor’s headquarters at 770-381-6100. The BBB also indicates consumers file a criticism. You can click this url to file.
Some buyers we spoke with say they now filed complaints with the BBB and the New York Point out Lawyer General’s Place of work.
For now, Gibbon states feels trapped.
“I really don’t have my sectional and I do not have the money — no,” mirrored Gibbon.
